Yesterday I was complaining to my friend about men that wear too much cologne. Some of you may be into that super cologney smell but I am not. I like a man to smell like himself; maybe like a better version of himself, but still himself. My friend and I were extensively discussing this... well I was extensively discussing it (picture a soapbox), and then she finally said, "yeah I can't remember what a man i supposed to smell like, every man I know smells like burritos."
You should probably know that my friend manages a Mexican Restaurant. But, it really made me think, things could always be worse. I shouldn't complain about cologne, at least it's not burritos.

confession: i do not know the difference between ok-smelling cologne and really good-smelling cologne. if it is subtle and not revolting, i like it. this makes choosing scents for my husband rather problematic, because HE can tell the difference. but i can tell that burritos=BAD!
I don't totally care what cologne someone has on as long as it's subtle and not Acqua di Gio (Sorry don’t mean to offend a lot of people love that stuff, but it’s not my favorite). I have a sensitive nose and have gotten headaches from dudes with too much cologne (and from too much Acqua di Gio). So subtle is a must. Also, I will say, as a general rule, you should try to avoid any savory smells. No one wants to cuddle with something that smells like meat, beans, potatoes… you get the idea. However, I would maybe be ok with someone smelling like bacon, that’s a great smell.
On the subject of smelling like food I will admit something. The perfume I wear reminds me a bit of cotton candy; not the taste of it but the smell. In fact the cotton candy similarity is the reason I started wearing it
Mmm, bacon cologne.
