One Year Older (instead of candles for every year, we did hours of sleep)

We went shopping at City Creek. He picked out things he thought I would like. Here he is looking for my size in shoes

more after the jump

Later that night we both started to feel a little less than ideal. we assumed we were hungry so we hurried to the car and headed to our planned sushi dinner. On the way I dug through the car for some hidden saltines. Saltines are a cure all for me so once found I quickly shoved one in my mouth. It tasted of car or cardboard; like fuel and upholstery. Not good. He too had a car saltine, but he was clever enough to spit his out. When we got to dinner we had to wait and after a bit I realized I really didn't feel well so we headed home. It was so snowy and crazy outside so we moved slow. Once home he made me some noodles.

The next morning (birthday morning) I still felt yucky. Headache and nausea. So we decided to stay home from church and recoup from our case of bad saltine stomach. It sounds like a bummer birthday but, it turned out to be lovely. We slept in. Then he made me some breakfast in bed and left me to pick some birthday shoes from online (he had found a couple that he thought I would like and had them ready for me to pick from).

We watched some HGTv online (lots of Property Brothers and some others that we didn't enjoy as much). Then I fell back asleep. Around 2:00 PM I got myself out of bed.

Later that day he gave me the rest of my presents. A little perfume to give me a special switch from the one he had given me as wedding present (both pictured above). It is called "weekend" and that is exactly when I intend to use it.

He made me toad in the hole sandwich for dinner. Bread, egg, prosciutto, avocado, onion, and cheese. Needless to say after a day of sleeping I finally felt like eating.

We are going to sushi another shot tomorrow.

I had some back up Goldfish crackers in my glove compartment once. They too tasted like car. Last time I'll do that.

Glad the birthday ended up great despite the sour stomach :)
