Fortuosity- Husband Edition

In honor of a boy that is having a birthday this week, this list, in particular order, is all about why I am oh so thankful for him.

  1. When he really hard he has to hug me tight. It is so funny to me. If we are already touching his grip gets tighter in direct correlation to how hard he laughs. If we are not already touching he will quickly move closer so he can start hugging me tight.
  2. The way he smells. I love early in the morning when he is still sound asleep and I am starting to wake up. I cuddle up to him and bury my nose in his neck and just drink up his smell.
  3. His goodness. You will never meet anyone that is so good and steady and kind.
  4. How creative he is.The ideas he comes up with for our next project always blow my mind.
  5. How well and concisely he can articulate a point.
  6. How he always encourages me to do the things I like.
  7. How he always wants to help me with things and be near me. (to be honest at first I didn't know what to think of this. I have never known anyone that wanted to spend so much time with me. It was odd and confusing and I assumed it couldn't be sincere. But it is sincere and so wonderful.)
  8. How I still sometimes feel myself start to blush if he looks at me really hard.
  9. How knock your socks of handsome he is, especially in a suit. Honestly, the guy can really wear a suit! Even if it is just pants and shirt and a tie (he rarely wears jackets) I can hardly stand it. Ever since we started to date (and to be honest a bit before we were dating) I have found him so distracting at church.
  10. His desire to for righteousness and his love of the gospel.
  11. His sleepy eyes in the morning that take hours to wake up.
  12. How well he understands me. I am so used to explaining my motivation or my logic behind the things I do. He understands where I am coming from without and single word of explanation from me, well most of the time he does.
  13. How intense he gets when he is discussing something he really cares about.
  14. How no matter what I feed him, even if it's ramen noodles, he enthusiastically thanks me for dinner and acts like I am the best thing since sliced bread. While I am thinking, "seriously dude. I just made ramen noodles for dinner" he is beaming at me with pride. He really is better than I deserve.
I was only supposed to do 10, oops. I am sure you can understand that he is a pretty big deal.
